Wind coming off the Crazies and down the valley moves snow rather than just dropping it. Where a building sits, which way an open shelter faces, and where a driveway runs decide whether you are plowing the same drift all winter or not.

Fence out here covers distance across working ground. Corners, bracing, and gate placement matter more than ornament, and a line that crosses a creek bottom or a rocky bench needs a different answer at each end.
Long private access roads
