Gallatin Gateway sits where the valley narrows toward the canyon, and it has become horse country.
Three Forks

Three Forks sits where the Jefferson, Madison, and Gallatin come together to form the Missouri, and the country around it is flatter, drier, and far more open than the ground closer to Bozeman.
Shields Valley
Park County
The Shields Valley runs north from Livingston between the Bridgers and the Crazy Mountains, through Clyde Park and Wilsall and on toward Ringling.
Big Timber
Sweet Grass County
Big Timber sits east of Livingston where the Boulder River comes down out of the Absarokas to meet the Yellowstone, with the Crazy Mountains standing off to the north.
